Pot brownies seized in Glen Burnie traffic stop

Anne Arundel County police say they seized marijuana brownies during a drug-related traffic stop this week in Glen Burnie.

An officer on patrol near Edgerly Road and Fitzallen Road in Harundale at 9 p.m. Tuesday saw a car with no lights on. When the officer drove past, the driver turned the lights on and drove off, running a stop sign, police said.

When the officer pulled the car over, the driver admitted to having drug paraphernalia. The officer searched the car and found paraphernalia, 24 grams of marijuana, $251 in cash and a bag of marijuana brownies, police said.

Anthony Michael Demali, 21, of Severn, was charged with possession of drugs with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and seven counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
