Stolen Jeep crashes into Odenton home, police say

A man driving a stolen Jeep Liberty crashed into a home in Odenton early Saturday, causing "significant damage," according to police.

The building, which is divided into two residences, was evacuated with no residents injured, Anne Arundel County police said. The driver of the Jeep, which was reported stolen from a home in the 400 block of Maple Ridge Lane around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, fled the scene and has not been arrested, police said.

Officers were searching for the vehicle around 2 a.m. when they saw it leave Hoods Mill Court and head north on Strawberry Lake Way toward Waugh Chapel Road, according to police. They continued to look for the Jeep and eventually found it crashed into the home on Cadbury Drive, police said.
