Del. Donald H. Dwyer Jr., who pleaded guilty last month to operating a boat while drunk, was cited last week for illegal crabbing in Anne Arundel County.
The Republican from Pasadena received a citation for crabbing on Wednesday, which is prohibited, said Department of Natural Resources Sgt. Brian Albert. The incident occurred on the Magothy River, he said.
The Wednesday rule is meant to help preserve the crab population, Albert said.
The citation was first reported by the Capital of Annapolis. Dwyer could not immediately be reached for comment Saturday evening.
In May, Dwyer pleaded guilty in the boat crash case. The August 2012 incident injured himself and six others, including four children.
