Police say Wilson and another man had their faces covered by bandanas when they entered the store. Jeffersonville police Detective Todd Hollis tells The News and Tribune that Wilson had a gun and investigators believe the clerk fired in self-defense.

Authorities report Wilson's foster mother says he was in the area visiting friends.
