A Washington man who authorities say may be with a missing 8-year-old girl has been charged with his wife's murder.
Prince George's County police said Friday they obtained an arrest warrant for Kahlil Malik Tatum, 51, of the 2500 block of N Street in Southeast Washington. He is wanted in connection with the death of 51-year-old Andrea Denise Tatum, who was found dead Thursday from a gunshot wound in a motel room on Oxon Hill Road.
Investigators believe that Kahlil Tatum may be with Relisha Tenau Rudd, for whom an Amber Alert was issued Thursday.
Prince George's police had discovered Andrea Tatum's body when they went to the motel to help the Metropolitan Police Department in its search for Relisha.
On Thursday evening, county police recovered a pick-up truck mentioned in the Amber Alert and connected to the search for the girl. The truck was found parked in the 1600 block of Eastern Avenue in Chapel Oaks.
Anyone with information about Relisha's whereabouts should call 911 or 202-727-9099.
