Towson High briefly evacuated due to smoke in hallways

Towson High School was briefly evacuated late Friday morning after fire crews responded to a report of smoke in the hallways.

According to county police and fire spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher, students were evacuated at 11:37 a.m., and allowed back in the school at 12:00 p.m.

County fire spokeman Cpl. John Wachter tweeted that the smoke was caused by a burned-out motor.

Rogers-Feher said no injuries were reported.
