Towson Fourth FAQs

The Towson Fourth of July Parade gets underway at 10:30 a.m., beginning at the corner of Bosley Avenue and Towsontown Boulevard.

Parking is free at municipal parking garages. Towson Commons garage parking is $5. Street parking is also permitted though streets bordering the parade route are closed to traffic between 9 and 9:30 a.m.


Rain or shine, the parade goes on. (Thunder and lightning are, of course, another matter.)

Fireworks at Loch Raven Academy, 8101 LaSalle Road, start at 9:30 p.m.

Rain date for the fireworks is Saturday, July 5.

Donations to cover the $10,000 costs of the annual display are accepted. Make out checks to Associates of Loch Raven Village Inc., and mail to ALRV, P.O. Box 9721, Loch Raven MD 21284-9721

Complimentary refreshments are available at the Towson American Legion during the parade. The Legion typically gives away 1,000 hot dogs on the Fourth.
