When is a week 16 days? When it's the Baltimore County Winter 2015 Restaurant Week, Jan. 9-24.
Pappas Restaurant, 550 Cranbrook Road in Cockeysville will officially kick off the promotion at 11 a.m. Jan. 8, with County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce President Keith Scott and chefs from the 50 participating restaurants on hand. For the kickoff, chefs will prepare some of their menu specials for sampling.
Restaurant Week features discount prices for lunch, brunch and dinner, with prix fixe menus ranging from $15.14 to $35.14.
Dining out brings in $1.4 billion annually in revenue to the county restaurant industry, which ranks second highest in Maryland, county officials said.
Other participating restaurants include Bluestone, Basta Pasta and Christopher Daniel, all in Timonium; Cafe Troia, Charles Village Pub and Cuinningham's, all in Towson; and Ocean Pride and Il Basilico Trattoria, both in Lutherville.
