Winthrop Towson, a new complex of luxury apartments at 913 Southerly Road, near the Towson Town Center mall, is holding a grand opening event Saturday, April 18, from 2-5 p.m., featuring live music, free food from area eateries and a chance to win tickets to an Orioles-Boston Red Sox game at Camden Yards.
Chesapeake Realty Partners and Wood Partners broke ground in July 2013 for the 295-unit Winthrop, one of two separately developed, four-story apartment buildings with similar designs that were planned on the site of the old 150-unit Dulaney Valley Apartments in the 900 block of Dulaney Valley Road, as part of a four-building plan known as The Quarters between Fairmount Avenue, Dulaney Valley Road and Southerly Road.
The April 18 event will include a performance by the band Hand Painted Swinger, as well as an Orioles vs. Red Sox Beer & Food Showdown and a sampling of Maryland wines.
