Lauren Zizwarek, a 2012 graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School and currently a junior at Towson, is the vice president of Community Service for Towson's Chapter of Kappa Delta, which currently has 94 members.

"The Prevent Child Abuse America organization is very meaningful to us because [child abuse] is an issue that many of our own sisters have struggled with growing up," Zizwarek said. "We are devoted to putting an end to child abuse so that many young children will not have to endure those same hardships."

Hannah Ouellette, a Kappa Delta member and junior at Towson, is excited to raise awareness for this cause. She believes their philanthropic work models the ethics of Kappa Delta.

"When I transferred to Towson, I fell in love with the sisters of Kappa Delta, the Kappa Delta Sorority as a whole, and everything they stood for," said Ouellette. "The experience I have had thus far at Towson has been amazing, and I attribute a large part of that to Kappa Delta. It has been an integral part of shaping me into who I am today."

If you are interested in donating items to the silent auction, contact Zizwarek at lzizwa1@students.towson.edu. Monetary donations can be made directly on line through Nov. 16 at http://donate.billhighway.com/kappadeltazetamushamrock.
