There's another big event on Nov. 7th — the Timonium-based Brick Bodies Athletic Club will celebrate its 30th anniversary with an '80s-themed Bull and Oyster Roast. The event will be held from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. in the Exhibit Hall at the Timonium Fairgrounds. Among the festivities will be music by '80s cover band the Real Geniuses, plus a silent auction, 50/50 raffle, and other prizes. The fun-filled evening has an even more important purpose: to launch The John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation, dedicated to the memory of the brother of Victor Brick, founder of Brick Bodies, whose life ended after a long struggle with schizophrenia. The focus of the foundation will be to advance research and learning about how exercise, diet, relationships, and health care can all work together to support mental health.
