Baltimore County police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying a man they believe robbed a woman in her apartment in Towson.
Police said the resident was in her apartment in the 300 block of Garden Road at about 7:50 p.m. Monday, when the suspect entered through an unlocked door, showed a handgun and demanded the woman's debit card and pin number, as well as her cell phone. He then left, and police said the woman was not harmed.
The suspect later used the debit card at an ATM machine at Dutch Liquors in the 2300 block of Cleanleigh Drive, where he was recorded on surveillance video, according to police.
The home invasion is under investigation by the Precinct 6 Investigative Services Team, and police said is not related to an incident earlier on Monday in which a 68-year-old clerk at Towson Wine and Spirits fatally shot one of two assailants who were trying to rob the liquor store at gunpoint. That incident happened before 7 p.m., in the unit block of Pennsylvania Avenue, police said. A second suspect in that incident is still at large.
Anyone who has information about either incident is asked to call police at 410-307-2020.
