A community meeting will be held Tuesday, July 23 at Rodgers Forge Elementary in response to Wednesday morning's fatal shooting in the Towson community.
According to an email announcement to community leaders from Councilman David Marks, who represents the 5th District including Towson, police agreed to hold the meeting because "there is a lot of apprehension in Rodgers Forge, and this will allow residents to get the information they need."
Police are still investigating the shooting, which occurred early Wednesday morning. According to police, officers responded to the area of Murdock Road and Blenheim Road in Rodgers Forge and found a man with a gunshot wound dead in an overturned silver Dodge.
That man, who police identified as 36-year-old Donte Antonio Stephens, was initially said to reside in the 500 block of North Schroeder Street in Baltimore. But police have since confirmed that the man lived in the 100 block of Murdock Road in Rodgers Forge.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Rodgers Forge Elementary, located at 250 Dumbarton Road in Towson.
