He may have been less heralded than Dulaney quarterback Ty Woodard, but Tyler Holly made a name for himself Saturday afternoon.

The Perry Hall junior quarterback completed 18 of 25 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns to help the visiting Gators (5-1) to a thrilling 41-36 victory over the Lions in Timonium. Holly also rushed for 84 yards on nine carries.

"He will be a stud," Perry Hall football coach Keith Robinson said. "He has tremendous composure and is a really slippery runner. He just makes good decisions and he is a leader for sure."

Perry Hall senior running back Anthony Jordan added 60 yards on 12 carries, bulling for 45 yards on the Gators' last scoring drive, including a 6-yard run to give his team a 41-28 lead.

After Dulaney's Dominic Yarbourgh scored on a 1-yard run to cut the advantage to 41-34 and Woodard followed by teaming up with Tyreek Henderson for the 2-point conversion, Jordan, who also plays safety, intercepted Woodard at the Perry Hall 5-yard line to seal the win.

Woodard, a junior transfer from City, rushed for two touchdowns and passed for 171 yards and two scores as the Lions dropped to 3-3.

"He didn't beat us like he has against some other teams," Robinson said of a quarterback who has a combined 24 touchdowns rushing and passing. "He is a stud no doubt."

After Perry Hall jumped out to a 13-0 lead in first nine minutes of the first quarter, Woodard got the Lions going by scoring on a 1-yard run early in the second quarter and tossing a 47-yard touchdown pass to Henderson in the middle of the period to put Dulaney ahead, 14-13.

Another 1-yard run by Woodard boosted the margin to 22-13.

Perry Hall trimmed the lead to 22-19 with 4:36 remaining in the second quarter when Holly hit receiver Xavier George down the right sideline for a 45-yard touchdown.

Nick Starostenko booted the extra point to make it 22-20 at halftime.

Perry Hall took the lead for good in the third quarter.

On their second possession of the second half, the Gators moved 58 yards in 11 plays with Ta'Quan Chase capping the series with a 6-yard run up the middle to put the Gators ahead 26-22.

Dulaney was pinned deep in its own territory on its next possession, and had to put from its own 9.

Donte Cloude Jr. then broke the game open with a 60-yard return for a touchdown to boost the advantage to 10 points.

"The punt return was big," Dulaney coach Daron Reid said. "We missed some tackles."
