Man robbed at gunpoint while walking his dog in Towson

A man who was walking his dog was robbed at gunpoint in downtown Towson Saturday morning, Baltimore County Police said.

According to police, the man was walking his dog on Towsontown Boulevard near Washington Avenue at 5:58 a.m. Saturday when two men approached him.

One of the men pointed a silver handgun at him, and the robbers demanded his wallet and cash.

The man took cash from his wallet and gave it to the suspects, police said. But as the man was going to put his wallet back into his pocket, a struggle ensued and the man was pushed to the ground.

The three men fought until the man's dog came off his leash, and the suspects ran towards York Road, police said.

Police spokeswoman Elise Armacost said the two men were described as black males, both 5-foot-8 with thin builds and dark complexions. Both men were wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts and blue jeans, Armacost said.
