The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.
A resident returned home to his house in the unit block of Normal Terrace in Towson at 12:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 to find an unfamiliar black van parked outside and the basement door open, police reports state. On the stairs to the second floor, the resident confronted an intruder carrying the resident's bookbag, the reports state. The intruder put down the bookbag in the kitchen and fled. Nothing was reported stolen although the resident found his laptop and computer dumped on the bed and his wife's clothing on the floor, the reports state. The intruder was arrested and charged with burglary, destruction of property, theft and attempted theft, according to police.

Acorn Circle, unit block, between 9 a.m. Oct. 15 and 6 p.m. Nov. 2. Bicycle stolen from apartment storage unit.
Walker Avenue, 600 block, 12:30 a.m. Oct. 29. Unsuccessful attempt to break into apartment.
Bridgeman Terrace, 600 block, 5:58 a.m. Oct. 26. Intruder wearing ski mask broke rear window and after entering house, hit victim in face several times with handgun. He then pointed gun at victim's head and demanded property. After taking wallet, intruder then robbed roommate at gunpoint. Credit card, identity item and wallet stolen.
Lutherville
Aylesbury Road, unit block, between 10 p.m. Oct. 28 and 9 a.m. Oct. 30. Attempt made to break into Jeppi Nut and Candy Co. Front warehouse door damaged.
Cockeysville
Dawson Drive, 200 block, between 7 p.m .Oct. 27 and 11 a.m. Oct. 29. Window, glass door broken. Nothing reported missing.
