Baltimore County Police say a child's piggy bank was stolen as part of the burglary of a home in Towson on July 29.

Police reports indicate that the burglary occurred in the 1700 block of Ryewood Road, between 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. Sunday.


The thief entered through unlocked rear door, police said, and stole the piggy bank, as well as other cash and an HP laptop computer.

East Burke Avenue, 200 block, between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. July 27. Dark blue 2004 Ford Explorer, Maryland tag number ATV0342, stolen. Car owner discovered spare key missing from bedroom.

Ellenham Road, 7800 block, between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. July 26. Blue 2009 Honda Accord, Maryland tag WOWSCAR, stolen from driveway.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 6600 block, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. July 26. Two men stole copper rain spout from yard.

Ruxton Green Court, unit block, between 1 and 6:30 a.m. July 21. Dog treats, cardboard U.S. quarter map with quarters and iPod touch stolen from garage and house. Thief attempted to steal vehicle in garage. Side garage door was unlocked.

Terrace Way, 400 block, between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. July 21. Rear basement window broken.

Naturo Road, 1600 block, between 6 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. July 19. Two televisions and a Toshiba Netbook computer stolen from residence. Thief entered through unlocked front window.

Jefferson Avenue, 400 block, between noon July 19 and 3 p.m. July 27. Two air conditioning units stolen from side of location.


York Road, 10500 block, between 3:06 and 3:40 a.m. July 27. Baltimore County police K9 unit found two men on BGE parking lot with 14 sections of copper wire. Kevin McCleary, 25, and James Perry, 42, both of Cockeysville, arrested and charged with theft, fourth-degree burglary and trespassing.


Wendslow Place, unit block, between 7:30 p.m. July 22 and 8 a.m. July 23. MacBook Pro, Dell computer, Kindle 3G, iPod and sunglasses stolen from several unlocked vehicles.


Texas Station Court, unit block, 2:32 p.m. July 23. Employee at Lowe's confronted man for alleged shoplifting. Man swung a large pipe at the employee's head and ran. Baltimore County police K9 unit and helicopter responded and searched area. The K9 unit found the man in nearby woods. Scott Dyer, 42, of Finksburg, is charged with first- and second-degree assault, petty theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.
