The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible.
East Joppa Road, unit block, 9:30 p.m. Jan. 2. Four juveniles were surrounded by 20 to 30 strangers while they were walking toward the bus stop at Towson Circle. The strangers reached into the pockets of the juveniles in an attempt to rob them. One stranger pulled a knife and attempted to stab one of the juveniles. Another was punched in the face, knocking his glasses off. All four fled by boarding a bus.

Willow Avenue, 200 block, between 11:59 p.m. Jan. 2 and 1:20 p.m. Jan. 3. Package stolen from front porch.
Witherwood Court, unit block, between 3:30 and 7 a.m. Jan. 1. Guitar and TV stolen from an apartment.
Lutherville
Malbay Drive, 1300 block, 10:15 p.m. Woman robbed in her driveway by two men, one armed with shotgun. One robber struck the woman with the gun and ran off with her purse. The woman received minor injuries.
York Road, 1800 block, 3:23 p.m. Unsuccessful attempt to rob Yorkridge Shell.
Rockfleet Road, 400 block, between 1 and 11:30 a.m. Dec. 27. A 2007 Nissan Altima stolen.
Ferns Court, unit block, between 9 p.m. Dec. 26 and 10 a.m. Dec. 27. A 2006 Honda station wagon stolen.
Cockeysville
Beaver Dam Road, 10000 block, between 2:30 p.m. Dec. 30 and 5 p.m. Dec. 31. Two TVs stolen from the Quality Suites hotel.
York Road, 10000 block, 7:25 p.m. Dec. 30. The Bull Pen North shop robbed at gunpoint. No one injured.
Knollcrest Place, 600 block, 2:49 a.m. Dec. 28. Unsuccessful attempt made to break into apartment.
