Towson Crime Log: Phoenix man breaks into ex-girlfriend's Towson apartment

A Phoenix man was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary after breaking into his ex-girlfriend's Rodgers Forge apartment, according to a Baltimore County police report.

According to the report, Benjamin John Yancheski, 23 of the 14000 block of Sunnybrook Road in Phoenix, had been stalking his girlfriend, and broke the lock on her apartment door in the 200 block of Rodgers Forge Road to gain entry.

Rodgers Forge Road, 200 block, at 2:55 a.m. Dec. 29. Benjamin John Yancheski, 23 of the 14000 block of Sunnybrook Road, Phoenix, arrested and charged with third-degree burglary. Yancheski has been stalking ex-girlfriend and broke into her apartment.

Regester Avenue, 1200 block, between 1 p.m. and 7:11 p.m. Dec. 28. Dodge Caravan, Maryland registration number 29568M2, stolen from location.

Goucher Bouelvard, 800 block, at 8:09 p.m. Dec. 28. Two men attacked woman at bus stop, stole Samsung cell phone, black handbag, pink wallet, and cash.

Sherwood Road, 6300 block, at 7:52 p.m. Dec. 25. Ford Escape with keys in car stolen from Parkway and McLean Boulevard. Car found running at Sherwood Market.

LaSalle Road and East Joppa Road, at 2 a.m. Dec. 23. Man hit in head with pipe, robbed while walking home. Thief stole cell phone, umbrella.

Murdock Road, 200 block, on Dec. 17 or Dec. 18. Bicycle stolen from garage.

Beverly Road, 6500 block, between 11 a.m. Dec. 2 and 6:29 p.m. Dec. 27. Engagement ring stolen from residence.


Riderwood Drive, 1600 block, between 3 p.m. Dec. 27 and 3 p.m. Dec. 28. Burglar broke into garage, stole Garmin GPS and charger from unlocked vehicle.

Valley Ridge Loop, unit block, at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 24. Elroy Hillard, 42, forced way into house, passed out sitting at kitchen table. Hillard was intoxicated and unresponsive. No items stolen.

Burton Avenue, 1400 block, at 1:05 p.m. Dec. 22. Resident caught burglar stealing BMX bike from garage. Burglar fled on own bike.



Reldas Court, unit block, at 11:15 p.m. Dec. 26. Four young men assaulted man on walk home from RiteAid. Wallet, Samsung Galaxy S3 stolen.

Knollcrest Place, 600 block, between 12 p.m. Dec. 22 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 23. Burglar entered apartment through unlocked bedroom window, stole jewelry, gold coins, safe, credit cards, and legal documents.

Lord Byron Lane, 200 block, between 11:50 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Dec. 21. Two men entered apartment through unlocked sliding door, stole several watches, HP laptop, iPad2, cash video games, credit card, and sneakers.

Church Lane, 100 block, between 7 p.m. Dec. 20 and 6:20 a.m. Dec. 21. Burglar broke into Ecological Restoration Management office, stole keys to five trucks. Keys used to steal 2011 Ford F550, Maryland tag number 4AH06939.

Warren Lodge Court, unit block, between 9 a.m. Sept. 1 and 7 p.m. Dec. 21. Blue containers, DVDs, shoes stolen from location.
