Charles Street, 6200 block. Oct. 8 at 5:16 a.m. Two people broke into Carroll Motor Fuels and stole two empty cash register drawers.
Cottage Lane, 1500 block. Between Oct. 7 at 11:58 and Oct. 8 at 12:30 a.m. Police officers were on Cottage Lane investigating thefts from vehicles when a vehicle attempted to run them down. Officers had to jump out of the way to avoid being struck. Two vehicles allegedly had been stolen; one of those vehicles collided with a police vehicle while an officer was driving. The officer was not injured. A man and two juveniles were arrested after pursuits and foot chases.
