Three arrested for early-morning armed robberies in Towson

Baltimore County Police arrested a man and two juvenile females early Friday morning after the group committed a pair of armed robberies in Towson.

Cpl. Cathy Batton, a police spokeswoman, said that at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, July 5, the group drove past a man at the corner of York Road and Regester Avenue. The male assailant and one of the females approached the man, and the male assailant pulled a gun on the victim while the female took money and cigarettes from the victim's pocket, Batton said.

Around 10 minutes later, Batton said the group also robbed a man in the 600 block of East Joppa Road. One of the females approached the man and asked him for directions to a gas station before the male assailant pulled a gun and the females searched the victim's pockets, stealing a cell phone and cigarettes, among other items.

The two victims who were robbed provided a description of a black Nissan car, and police spotted the car at the corner of York Road and Joppa Road a short time later, Batton said.
