Police said Towson University police checked on her at the apartment, and county police were called for a report of a cardiac arrest. Moloshok was declared deceased by Baltimore County Fire Department paramedics. Police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter said in an email that suspected heroin was found in the apartment.

The case was classified as a sudden death. Wachter said Moloshok's body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.

Raymond C. Feldmann, Towson University director of communications and media relations, declined to comment specifically, but said, "We were saddened to learn yesterday of the death of a Towson University graduate student. We are communicating with the student's family and offering them our full support."
