A former security guard at Greater Baltimore Medical Center was sentenced Wednesday to 50 years in prison for attempted rape after he burglarized a Towson apartment last year, prosecutors said.
Prosecutors said Ricky Bostic, 44, broke into a residence on York Road on May 24, 2012, and sexually assaulted two women in separate rooms of the home.
Baltimore County police recovered fingerprints, DNA and a camera with pictures of one of the victims taken before she awoke. Investigators also recovered one victim's property at Bostic's Towsontown Court apartment, prosecutors said.
Police tied Bostic to six other burglaries and another sexual assault over a 56-day period.
He was caught when he attempted to open the sliding glass door at a unit a Versailles Circle apartment complex, causing a woman asleep on the couch inside to wake up and call for her boyfriend. Bostic fled, but the woman provided a description of him to police.
