Dulaney girls lacrosse coach Kristi Korrow got the answers she wanted Tuesday.

With Dulaney coming off its two biggest games of the season — a 15-10 win over Towson and a 12-6 loss to Hereford — she wanted to know if Lions would be up for host Loch Raven.

The inspired version of the Lions showed up, and the Raiders paid the price by getting knocked out early.

In a game filled with offensive flurries and some big individual performances, the Lions (11-2) rolled past the host Raiders, 19-7.

Dulaney hit Loch Raven (4-6) with six goals in the first six minutes to take control.

The Lions would clinch a spot in the county championship against Hereford Saturday if they beat Pikesville host Friday.

"It would be a nice accomplishment for us," Korrow said of advancing to the county championship. "Its been a couple of years since we have been to counties. They set goals early in the year and that was one of them. It would be something to check off on the list, but it's not our final goal by any means."

Senior midfielder Annie Sachs got the Lions going against Loch Raven, scoring three of their first five goals. She finished with five goals and two assists.

Sachs now has a team-leading 32 goals.

"She actually has had fewer goals the past couple of games," Korrow said. "I think she was looking to have a little breakout game and get back on track. Offensive players need to feel that offensive flow. She had it today."

Teammate Melanie Gandy, a senior midfielder, had three goals and Maggie Kelly, Mackenzie Crotty and Sara Paetow chipped in two goals apiece.

Junior Jayde Joyce totaled four goals for Loch Raven and Taylor Dodd added two goals.

The Raiders cut the lead to 6-1 on their first shot when Joyce beat goalie Madison Hine six minutes into play.

The Lions — who outshot the hosts 26-10 — then went on a 4-1 run and led 12-5 at halftime.

Dulaney scored the first three goals of the second half to force a running clock the rest of the way.

"They got up early and it just kind of got away from us," Loch Raven first-year coach Nicole Hoeck said. "The accuracy with their passes and aggressiveness to go after ground balls impressed me. You win games with possession and it was phenomenal with them."
