Job well done to Christi Ranck, Leah Ranck, Kristina Johnson, Kimberly Nelson, Tanisha Hewitt, Christina Hewitt, Patricia Watson, Ivy Watson and Brittney Zakielarz who came together as a part of  Team Too Young to raise $1,080 for the Alzheimer's Association. These ladies and their daughters joined with over 1,250 other participants in the Greater Baltimore Walk to End Alzheimer's held at Rash Field in Baltimore on Oct. 25. The event raised almost $200,000 which will be used to advance research and help provide programs and support to improve the lives of those affected by the disease. Team Too Young walked in memory of Christi Ranck's mother, Deborah Leight, who recently passed away from the disease at just 63. Christi was glad to be able to give back to the Alzheimer's Association as it was a great source of support throughout her mother's illness.  Almost every other member of the team has a personal story of Alzheimer's or dementia in their lives so they all walked to increase awareness and get one step closer to a cure. Donations can still be made directly to the Alzheimer's Association at 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.

It's cookie time so be on the lookout for the young ladies of Girl Scout Service Unit 683, among others, in Cockeysville to be holding booth sales around the area over the next few weeks.  Enjoy your favorite cookies while supporting the Scouts in raising money for service projects, activities and camping.
