The Parkville community is a better place because of the efforts of volunteers who make a difference —assisting seniors with taxes, shopping, teaching a class, serving food, coordinating special events.
The Parkville Lions Club invites the community to attend a Quarter Auction fundraiser on Friday, April 24, on the campus of the Maryland School for the Blind, 3501 Taylor Ave.,in the Knefely Gym.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the auction starts at 7 p.m. Cost is $3 for a paddle or two for $5.
Proceeds from paddle sales, donated auction items and refreshment will directly benefit the Parkville Lions Club. Refreshments will be available. There will be a 50-50 raffle. Vendors will include Cookie Lee Jewelry, Thirty One Gifts, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and more.
