'Dozens' of car mirrors smashed in overnight Arbutus vandalism

Baltimore County Police are investigating a streak of incidents that left "dozens of vehicles damaged overnight," in the Arbutus area, said police spokeswoman Louise Rogers-Feher.

"Reports are still coming in so we cannot give any firm number on the number of victims or the specified areas that were targeted by these people," she said. "[The incidents were] throughout the Arbutus area, but we can't get more specific than that area at this point.

"Our officers located and arrested three suspects," Rogers-Feher said of three people suspected of using a baseball bat to smash the side mirrors on a multitude of vehicles in the area.

The motive for the crimes is still unclear, she said.

"We want to say this is a thrill tour or just vandalism," Rogers-Feher said. "More details will be released as we get more information from the investigation."
