Police officer shoots pit bull in Baltimore Highlands [Crime Log}

Sulphur Spring Road, 1700 block, 10:15 p.m. Aug. 24. Box truck containing tools stolen from Enterprise Rental.

Hollins Ferry Road, 3900 block, between 2:36 a.m. and 3:25 a.m., Aug. 24. Scrap metal, vehicle and boat parts and other items stolen from Lucky Auto Repair.

Norfen Road, 4400 block, 2:28 p.m. Aug. 23. Police responded to a residence for a complaint about an aggressive pit bull. After attempt to confine the dog failed, officer felt his safety threatened and fired his weapon at the dog, striking it.

Leeds Avenue, 4300 block, between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. Aug. 20. Window broken at Gulf gas station. Nothing stolen.

Hollins Ferry Road, 3900 block, 11:24 p.m. Aug. 19. Scrap metal damaged at Lucky's Auto Repair after man arrested for attempting to burglarize the business.

Poplar Avenue, 1300 block, 10:38 p.m. Aug. 19. Intruder walked into residence then walked out. Nothing stolen.
