Nottingham man injured in White Marsh collision earlier this month dies

Baltimore County police are investigating a collision that killed a Nottingham man after his car was hit by another vehicle in White Marsh on Dec. 1.

Eddie Louis Bibbs, 54, of the 7500 block of Marks Avenue, was attempting to make a left turn onto north Belair Road from Virginia Avenue just before 10:30 p.m. when his 2019 Volkswagen was struck by a 2017 Hyundai, police said.

The Hyundai, carrying three passengers and a driver, was heading southbound on Belair Road and hit the driver’s side of Bibbs’ vehicle, police said.

Bibbs was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries and ultimately died Monday, according to law enforcement.

The three passengers in the Hyundai were transported to an area hospital with injuries that weren’t life-threatening, and the driver did not report any injuries, police said.

County police are working to determine all of the factors involved in the crash.
