Fatal two-vehicle crash in Baltimore County under investigation

Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash in which one person was killed early Tuesday morning on Interstate 795 at Owings Mills Boulevard.

A 2016 Honda Accord was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes on I-795 when it crashed into a 2008 Toyota Highlander, police said.

Maryland state troopers from the Golden Ring Barracks received multiple calls shortly before 3:10 a.m. about the Honda. Less than five minutes later, state police received an additional call regarding the crash.

The driver of the Honda, identified as Rodsheta Myers, 25, of Baltimore, was declared dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 39-year-old man, and a 2-year-old female passenger were transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Another passenger, a 37-year-old woman, was transported by ambulance to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of her injuries. The conditions of the victims were unavailable Tuesday afternoon.

I-795 was closed for approximately three hours as a result of the crash. The incident is under investigation by the Maryland State Police crash team, according to a news release.

Ron Snyder, a spokesperson for the state police, said no additional information on the crash was available.
