The shooting followed an argument at a Catonsville restaurant and then a dispute in the parking lot of a sporting goods store late on Jan. 8, according to prosecutors.

Bowie pulled a gun and fired several shots in the air, then fired toward a group of people, hitting 20-year-old Brandon Wardell Ward, of Woodlawn, according to authorities.

Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 21. Second degree murder carries a sentence of up to 30 years in prison.
