Two men charged in connection with Catonsville home invasion robbery

Two men have been charged on five counts, including attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and first-degree burglary in connection with a home invasion robbery Saturday that left a man injured, Baltimore County police said in a statement Wednesday.

Jatwan Derek Boston, 24, of the 4300 block of Parkton Street in Baltimore, and David Orlando Grant, 32, of the 1500 block of West Penrose Street in Baltimore, are being held without bail, police said.

Police said Monday they responded to a residence in the 300 block of Suter Road in Catonsville at 10:09 p.m. Saturday to find a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot and stab wounds.

The man told police he lived next door and had to run to a neighbor's house for help, police said.

An investigation revealed that several men forced their way into the victim's home, assaulted him with a gun and a knife, shot him several times and stole his personal belongings, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
