A Catonsville man was seriously injured Saturday night after he was shot and stabbed in a home invasion robbery, Baltimore County police said in a statement issued Monday, Dec. 1.
Police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Suter Road at 10:09 p.m. to find a 33-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
The man told police he lived next door and ran to a neighbor's house for help, police said.
Police said a further investigation revealed that several men forced their way into the victim's residence, shot him several times, stabbed him at least once and stole personal items from the residence.
The man was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
Police said there is currently no suspect information available. Detectives are investigating whether it was a targeted crime, police said.
