Wynnewood Warriors set for duel in the pool in quest for first place

The Wynnewood swim team moved up a division in the Central Maryland Swim League and the Warriors posted a 3-1 record through four meets.

The closed the regualar season Saturday, July 23 at Andover (3-1) with the winner earning the Division III regular-season title.

It would also be the second straight 4-1 mark for the Warriors. They went 4-1 in Division IV in 2015.

On July 30, the Warriors are the host pool for the Division III championships which will begin at 9 a.m.

In addition to Wynnewood, the divisional meet will feature teams from Bolton Hill, Nottingham, Westminster, Andover and Shipley's Choice.

On July 2, Bolton Hill defeated the Wynnewood Warriors, but the Warriors set a pair of team records.

Kira Stocksdale broke a record in the 13-14 breaststroke with a time of 39.00 seconds.

The girls 13-14 relay team of Katie Beuchel, Anna Kidd, Veronica Schweitzer and Stocksdale broke the team record with a time of 2:00.75.
