Charlestown Retirement Community names new executive director

Charlestown Retirement Community in Catonsville announced Don Grove as its new executive director on Wednesday, March 15.

Prior to joining Charlestown, Grove worked with the Baltimore Orioles as their senior director of sales and ticketing before joining the retirement community in 2007 as director of sales and marketing. He held the position for 14 years.

In 2021, Grove transitioned to the role of associate executive director and most recently, took on the role of interim executive director before his promotion to executive director.

“It is an exciting time to live and work at Charlestown,” said Kerry Jones, vice president, corporate operations at Erickson Senior Living. “As the community celebrates its ruby anniversary, we reflect on 40 years of serving seniors and their families in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Now, with Don’s leadership, we also look forward to building on a tradition of innovation to continue serving the evolving needs of this vibrant community. We are confident that Don will provide strong, confident leadership for Charlestown’s bright future.”
