Woman found shot in Windsor Mill expected to survive, police say

A woman found lying in a Windsor Mill street suffering from a gunshot wound early Wednesday morning is expected to survive her injuries, Baltimore County Police said.

County police responded to a call from a passerby about an unidentified woman lying in the 2900 block of Lord Baltimore Street in Windsor Mill at 12:37 a.m., according to Jennifer Peach, a police spokeswoman.

The woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said.

The suspect fled the area prior to police arriving, according to law enforcement.

Police have yet to interview the woman and could not provide additional information Wednesday afternoon, Peach said.
