One person in ‘serious’ condition after vehicle fire at I-195 and I-95

One person is being transported to a local hospital after a multi-vehicle crash and vehicle fire at I-95 at I-195, Baltimore County Fire Department officials said Friday morning.

All traffic lanes going northbound on I-95 at I-195 were closed for a few hours Friday. Traffic cameras from the area appeared to show at least two fire engines and traffic entirely blocked around 11:05 a.m. State officials said roads were re-opened by 11:38 a.m.

At 9:57 a.m., fire officials were dispatched for a fully involved vehicle fire in the Arbutus area. By 10:11 a.m., officials said one person was in “serious” condition and would be transported.

The crash involved two tractor-trailers, officials said. The fire was described as “under control” by 10:27 a.m.
