Baltimore County police announce four shooting arrests

Baltimore County police have arrested four people in connection with two separate shootings from earlier this month, including an incident that left a 2-year-old girl injured by shrapnel.

In that shooting, on March 3, police say Charles Dante Patterson and Kenneth Alexander Brooks II targeted a 19-year-old man riding in a Dodge minivan in retaliation for the man testifying against their brother in a robbery case.

When the van was stopped at the intersection of Kenwood Avenue at Lillian Holt Drive in Overlea, a dark colored vehicle pulled up alongside and someone started shooting, police said. The 2-year-old was wounded by shrapnel, but three other people in the Dodge were unharmed, according to police.

Patterson, 29, and Brooks, 26, face attempted first-degree murder and other charges, and are jailed without bail.

In the second incident, in the early evening of March 5, police say Rayvn Partyce Betters lured the victim to talk in a car in the first block of Cinnamon Circle in Randallstown, when Troy Raymund Harrison approached and opened fire.

Harrison, 23, and Betters, 22, live on the Randallstown street and had intended to rob their victim, police said. Both are charged with attempted first-degree murder and other offenses and are being held without bail.
