Emergency responders called to assisted-living facility in Catonsville [Fire-Rescue Log]

Among the 76 calls for medical and fire-rescue service the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received during the period Sept. 8-15 were the following:

912 South Rolling Road, 2:08 p.m. Sept. 12. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of a building fire on the campus of Brightview Assisted Living in Catonsville and found an overheated HVAC unit. Smoke was cleared from the building.

4045 Wilkens Ave., 2:01 a.m. Sept. 11.Crews responded to the report of a large outdoor trash receptacle fire at the Royal Farm store and extinguished a small trash fire. 

Maple Avenue, 1200 block, 3:22 p.m. Sept. 10. Crews responded to the report of a natural gas leak in Arbutus and found an outside low-pressure natural gas line had been struck by workers. The area was secured for BGE.

Gun Road, 400 block, 4:12 p.m. Sept. 8. Crews responded to the report of a vehicle accident in Arbutus. One seriously injured person taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Shelbourne Road at Sulphur Spring Road, 12:58 p.m. Sept. 8. Crews responded to the report of a vehicle hitting a tree in Arbutus. One person with non-life-threatening injuries taken to a local hospital.
