A man was stabbed to death in the 900 block of Walnut Grove Road in Essex early Thursday, Baltimore County police said.

At about 4:20 a.m. police found the man outside, on the ground, with multiple stab wounds after receiving a report of a person having trouble breathing.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken to Franklin Square Hospital where he was declared dead, police said. Police had not identified a suspect.
