Arbutus crime log: Copper fittings stolen from Violetville business Jan. 5

Silerton Road, unit block, Jan. 5, between noon and 5 p.m. Front door pried open. Wii console, desktop computer and two TVs stolen.


Benson Avenue, 4000 block, Jan. 5 between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. Two boxes of copper fittings, tool box and screwdriver set stolen from truck parked at Warthen Heating and Cooling. Screwdriver set recovered.

Rome Road, 1400 block, Jan. 5, between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. Shed doors at Mid-Atlantic Carpenter Training Centers pried open. Generator missing and later recovered on property.

Fifth Avenue, 700 block, Jan. 4, 4:32 p.m. Resident walking out of his house approached by a man who yelled then swung a box cutter at him. Man arrested and charged with first-degree assault.

Hoffman Avenue, 3000 block, Jan. 4, 9:23 p.m. Battery and battery box stolen from trailer parked at General Concrete Pumping.

Twin Circle Way, 4000 block, between Jan. 4, 8:30 a.m. and Jan. 5, 11:55 p.m. TV, iPad, shoes and MacBook stolen from residence. Rear window broken.

Lansdowne Road, 2400 block, Jan. 3, between midnight and 2 a.m. Driver stopped car and attempted to rape passenger in front of Lansdowne Middle School. Victim treated at Mercy Medical Center.

Washington Boulevard at Ridge Avenue, Jan. 3, 10:10 p.m. Woman chased man who snatched her purse and recovered her purse. Man found by K-9 unit and charged with unarmed robbery.

Lakebrook Circle, 2900 block, between Jan. 2, 8:20 p.m. and Jan. 3, 7:40 a.m. Three TVs, diamond ring, Wii games, Playstation and games, XBox 360 and Kinect systems and games, and Sony PSP stolen.


Fifth Avenue, 800 block, Jan. 2, 8 p.m. Woman arrested and charged with first-degree burglary, after report of theft of electronics, clothing and jewelry.

Transway Road, 3300 block, between Dec. 31, 6 p.m., and Jan. 2, 1 a.m. Salt spreader, motor and aluminum scaffolding stolen from yard at Baltimore County Recycling Services

Transway Road, 3300 block, between Dec. 31, 5 p.m., and Jan. 2, 7:45 a.m. Tires with rims stolen from storage compartment in yard of Waste Equipment Sales and Service.

Southwestern Boulevard, 4300 block, Jan. 12, between 12:20 a.m. and 2:26 a.m. Metal wall cut and pried open at Winkler Steel Fabrication. Nothing reported missing

Washington Boulevard, 3900 block, Jan. 1, 3 a.m. Two shed doors pried open in yard of Danee Brothers Construction. Nothing reported missing.

Alan Drive, 4400 block, Jan. 1, between 5:35 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. Bedroom window forced open. Laptop and cash stolen.
