Richard and Sharon Smith of Rossville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kellie Nicole, to Michael Swecker, of Wilson Point.

Kellie and Michael are both graduates of Eastern Technical High School in Essex.

Kellie is the granddaughter of George and Mary Barnes, of the Bear Creek area of Baltimore County. Kellie is a graduate of Villa Julie College, and is completing her forth year of a scheduled six-year PhD program in molecular virology and microbiology, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School.

Michael works at Mercy Hospital in Baltimore in the IT department.

A September 2013 wedding is planned.
