West Cold Spring Lane

Unit block at 2:05 a.m. Jan. 27.Brown, four-door, 2005 Crown Victoria with Maryland tags 49357B stolen while engine was running, then found on fire in 5800 block of York Road a few minutes later. Complaintant was Freedom Tax Cab LLC.

Ellerslie Avenue

3300 block, bertween 7:45 a.m. and 5:54 p.m. Jan. 27. Assailant used ax to break open rear door of residence, but fled without stealing anything when alarm sounded.

Northwood Drive

5900 block, between 12:40 and 1:25 p.m. Jan. 23. Glock 26 gun, bullets, shirt stolen from residence. Entry gained by kicking in front door.

Orkney Road

500 block at 12:36 a.m. Jan. 26. Two suspects, one armed with handgun, tried to rob two men standing near vehicle, but fled when one victim said police had just driven by and other victim said he had no property on him.
