Among the 75 calls the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department received for medical and fire-rescue service Dec. 18-25, were the following:
Baltimore National Pike at North Rolling Road, 5:18 p.m. Dec. 23. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident with rescue in Westview. One critically injured person was rescued and flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Interstate 695 between exits 12 and 13, 10:08 p.m. Dec. 22. Crews from the Arbutus and Woodlawn volunteer stations responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident on the Baltimore Beltway in Catonsville and found property damage, but no injuries.
Frederick Road, 6300 block, 9:59 p.m. Dec. 22. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Catonsville, Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of a building fire, but no fire was found.
River Road at Thistle Road, 6:13 p.m. Dec. 18. Crews from the Arbutus, Woodlawn and Violetville volunteer stations and Catonsville, Halethorpe, Westview and Woodlawn career stations responded to the report of a fire at the Simpkins Industries site in Oella and extinguished a fire in a vacant building.
1000 Hilltop Circle, 5:57 p.m. Dec. 18. Crews from the Arbutus volunteer station and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of an appliance fire on the campus of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and dispersed smoke from the building.
Annapolis Road, 3800 block, 7:59 p.m. Dec. 18.Crews from the English Consul, Arbutus and Lansdowne volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a dwelling fire in English Consul and extinguished the fire.
