Halethorpe Fire Department's service in support of Marines in Afghanistan and Pakistan

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows, North Point Lodge 4, thanks the crew of Baltimore County Firehouse 5 and their community for their continuous support in collecting donations for our Marine Mail Project.

Over the last four years, the Halethorpe community has enabled the IOOF to send out approximately 3,000 care boxes to frontline soldiers in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Firehouse 5 has single-handedly allowed us to mail our soldiers approximate 200 care boxes every quarter.

They, and the community, should be commended for the ongoing collection to benefit the cause.

Below is a quote from one of our recipients:

"I wanted to write a quick e-mail and thank you all for the care packages you sent to our crew. They are greatly appreciated. Please pass along my thanks to your entire organization. Ask them to keep the United Sates and its armed services in their prayers."

Again, thank you for all of the support from the firehouse.
