Police arrest suspect in bank robbery at Towson University

Baltimore County police said officers have taken into custody a suspect in the Monday morning robbery of a bank on the campus of Towson University.

Police report that a 10:32 this morning, Dec. 12, officers were dispatched to assist Towson University with a robbery at the PNC Bank on campus.

A suspect entered the bank and verbally demanded money from the teller, police said. According to the report, the male did not display a weapon, and there were no injuries. He fled the location with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said a person matching the suspect description was seen sitting on a bench inside the university's Liberal Arts building.

After a brief foot chase, the suspect was taken into custody, and the money was recovered.

No additional information was immediately available.
