Woman charged after man stabbed in Cockeysville home

Baltimore County police have charged a 23-year-old Cockeysville woman with assault in connection with a stabbing Tuesday evening at her home on Lord Byron Lane.

Samantha Steck faces first- and second-degree assault charges. A judge set bail at $25,000, and Steck is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

A man who lived with Steck called police at 11:23 p.m. from a residence near York and Alms House roads. He told police that he had been stabbed in the chest.

Police said the victim was Steck's boyfriend. He was taken to Sinai Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
