Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department's Fire-Rescue Log

Among the 71 calls for service to the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department June 12-19 were the following:

55 Wade Avenue, 3:35 p.m. June 15. Crews responded to the report of a person having a seizure on the grounds of Spring Grove State Hospital and transported one seriously injured person to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Hollins Ferry Road at 5th Avenue, Geely Laundromat, 10:13 p.m. June 14. Crews from the Lansdowne, Arbutus, English Consul and Violetville volunteer stations and Halethorpe and Westview career stations responded to the report of a building fire in Lansdowne and extinguished the fire.

Winters Lane, 100 block, 2:27 a.m. June 14. Crews from the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department and Catonsville and Westview career stations responded to the report of a dwelling fire in Catonsville. A mattress fire was extinguished.

Westland Boulevard at Courtney Road, 9:13 a.m. June 13. Crews from the Arbutus and Violetville volunteer stations and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of a motor vehicle accident in Arbutus. One seriously injured person rescued from a vehicle and transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Ashbourne Road, 5500 block, 5:20 p.m. June 12. Crews from the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department and Halethorpe career station responded to the report of arcing power lines in Arbutus and found downed power lines down. Baltimore Gas & Electric was notified.
