Community support made 5k race a winner

On behalf of the Arbutus second annual 5k Race Committee, we would like to thank all the sponsors, who helped make it work.

Thank you to the Wilkens Police Precinct — all the volunteers, men women and young adults, who helped man the streets.

Thanks to the volunteers, who gave out water at the back of Arbutus Middle School.

Thanks to the new participants in the Fun Run.

A big thanks to all the people helping at the start and finish lines.

A huge thanks to my family and the recreation council for all the help before and after the race.

Thank you for the use of the Arbutus Town Hall and the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department's parking lot.

Without all of this assistance, this event could never have taken place.

The race benefits the upcoming Fourth of July parade.
