Storyville marks first anniversary

Storyville, a $1.7 million addition to the Woodlawn Library, has recorded more than 50,000 visitors in its first year of operation. To celebrate its first anniversary Tuesday, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz will lead a story time at 11 a.m. at the innovative child learning center.

The 3,200-square-foot Woodlawn center, the county's second Storyville, offers young library patrons a child-sized townscape with everything from a trolley to a tree house. The Rosedale version, on the eastern side of the county, opened in 2008 and has attracted nearly 225,000 visitors to the learning and play environment designed for young children ages birth to 5.
